สำนักงานนวัตกรรมแห่งชาติ (องค์การมหาชน) มีบทบาทเป็นแกนกลางในการประสานงานและเชื่อมโยงองค์กรต่างๆ ทั้งด้านวิชาการ เทคโนโลยี การผลิต การเงิน การลงทุน และการจัดการ โดยอาศัยกลไกการบริหารจัดการองค์ความรู้และการสนับสนุนทั้งด้านวิชาการและการเงิน จึงเล็งเห็นถึงความสำคัญในการพัฒนานวัตกรรมด้านพลังงานสะอาด ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับแนวทางการพัฒนาด้านพลังงานทดแทนของประเทศ และได้กำหนดเป้าหมายการพัฒนาด้านพลังงานสะอาดให้เป็นศูนย์กลางต้นแบบธุรกิจพลังงานสะอาดในภูมิภาคอาเซียน

The National Innovation Agency (Public Organization) is the core agency to drive innovation development by coordinating, networking, fostering, and partnering with other organizations from various fields such as academia, technology, industry, finance, and investment. NIA utilizes innovation management, financial and technical supports to drive innovation development in Thailand. NIA recognizes the importance of innovation in the area of clean energy as a key factor for sustainable development. Therefore, NIA formulated a goal to propel Thailand’s clean energy industry to become a model for the clean energy business in the ASEAN region.
